MN RETAIN presented at the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council (MIAC) board meeting on March 1, 2023.
MN RETAIN Community Engagement Specialist, Akiatu Pratt and DEED Tribal Liaison, Kirk Crowshoe, who also serves on the MN RETAIN Community Advisory Board, presented in-person at the MIAC quarterly board meeting held at Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel in Morton, MN.
During the presentation, the team provided an overview of the RETAIN program to the 11 tribal heads and attendees. Additionally, Crowshoe requested that the tribal heads connect the MN RETAIN team with tribal health directors, which was granted. The MN RETAIN leaders also requested that the audience help spread the word about the program and contact them to discuss additional strategies to network, outreach, and engage potential partners, participants and ideas to broaden services throughout the State of Minnesota.
